Triton Audio Solutions is involved in a wide range of different products and projects, a selection of which is presented here to give you an idea of our expertise and capabilities. The implemented solutions are mainly end-user desktop applications running on different computer platforms. The operating systems Windows, Linux and Mac OS are supported.

NVH Vehicle Simulator

The NVH Vehicle Simulator represents our main development, which is done in collaboration with our partners NoViSim Ltd., Sound Evaluations Ltd. and Brüel & Kjaer.



This advanced interactive, auditory driving simulator allows manufacturers to evaluate and design the target sound and vibration of their vehicles. The system is available exclusively from Brüel & Kjaer.

SoNoScout NVH Binaural Recording and Analysis system

SoNoScout is a compact, PDA-based data-acquisition and post-analysis system. The idea is to provide an ultra-mobile package for recording purposes in a variety of situations. Two-channel recordings can be performed using the included binaural ear microphones as well as existing measuring devices. Some basic analysis operations like 2D and 3D spectrum, metrics calculations or filtering can be done to get a quick overview of the recorded data.


The PDA SoNoScout is the perfect partner for our NVH Vehicle Simulator enabling you to get the necessary vehicle data in a quick and comfortable way.

In parallel a PC-based version is available which provides a more sophisticated analysis of the recorded signals. Additionally it can be used for mobile recording of sound, tachometer, CAN, GPS and video signals using portable devices such as netbooks, UMPCs, etc.

Octagon

Octagon is an example of our non-audio visualization capabilities. It was developed for Iosono Gmbh and allows the customer to conveniently measure an arrangement of dozens of loudspeaker panels. This needs to be done in a very accurate and data-safe way in order to allow a robust high-precision Wavefield synthesis.




The software provides the user with all necessary tools to add and import geometric data. Combined with a user-definable panel library the resulting assignment of speakers is visualized in a 3D graph with different viewing modes. From that it is possible for the user to have a direct feedback about the validity of the measured data.


Movie Downmix

In cooperation with Nissan Technical Center Europe (NTCE) and Sound Evaluations Ltd. we developed a down mix tool for adding real car sounds to animated movies.

Realistic car sounds were created using the NVH vehicle simulator based on information about the behaviour of the car (position, orientation, speed, etc.) obtained directly from the movie. This leads to an enormous increase in immersivity since the added sound exactly matches the driving dynamics and character of the car.

The technique was successfully applied to the launch of the Infiniti model range.

VW3S

At Volkswagen AG in Wolfsburg the research division improves their research results by using a full vehicle vibro-acoustic driving simulator. The complete administration and replay functionality of sound and vibration is provided by Triton Audio Solutions. The VW3S sound simulation system offers a software suite including a number of tools necessary for the user to run the interactive audio system.




LevelDevil

LevelDevil is another robust and easy-to-use application asked for by another car manufacturer. Using a 4-channel audio frontend it monitors the sound pressure level in four different locations on an engine test bed as well as the overall sound level. The software provides calibration functionality in order to get the correct signal levels with respect to the used microphones. The monitored signals can be pre-processed by activating an adjustable filter pool. Spectral weights, time constants and other acoustic properties can be selected according to the measurement purpose. Last but not least the measured signals can be saved in a four channel wav file.
